We use interest rate swap contracts to manage the interest rate exposure to variability in the interest cash flows on our floating-rate assets and floating-rate wholesale funding, and to hedge market risk on fixed-rate capital markets debt issuances and AFS securities. The table below summarizes the related hedging activities. (1) Includes $1.8 billion of forward starting pay-fixed interest rate swaps commencing in March 2022.
