On July 6, 2023, Akari Therapeutics, Plc, a public company with limited liability incorporated under the laws of England and Wales (the “Company”), issued a press release announcing that the European Medicines Agency issued a positive opinion on the Company’s application for orphan drug designation for nomacopan as a treatment in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. A copy of such press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Report on Form 6-K and incorporated herein by reference.
