EXPLANATORY NOTE

Following the Report of Foreign Private Issuer on Form 6-K furnished by Woori Financial Group Inc. (“Woori Financial Group”) to the Securities and Exchange Commission on May 2, 2022 under the title “Notice of Financial Accident” (the “Original Report”), Woori Financial Group discovered additional embezzlement amounts(5,923,494 in thousands of KRW) during its investigation of the financial incident. Accordingly, this Report of Foreign Private Issuer on Form 6-K/A is furnished to reflect such new information.

Notice of Financial Accident (as amended)

On April 28, 2022, our subsidiary Woori Bank posted the following notice, which was subsequently amended, about a financial accident on its website pursuant to Article 34-3(3) of the Banking Act, Article 20-3(5) of the Enforcement Decree of the Banking Act, Articles 18-5(2) and 31(3) of the Detailed Regulations on Supervision of Banking Business and Article 41(3) of the Regulations on Supervision of Banking Business.
