Ref.:       Official Letter nº 209/2022/CVM/SEP/GEA-1 – Braskem - Request for clarification on news

Dear Officer,

We refer to the Official Letter nº 209/2022/CVM/SEP/GEA-1 ("Official Letter"), dated 10.11.2022, by which you request clarification from Braskem S.A. ("Braskem" or "Company"), as described below:

“Mr. Director,

1.                We refer to the news published on this date on the blog of Lauro Jardim, from the newspaper O Globo, under the title: "A new proposal from Apollo for Braskem", which contains the following statements:

The american management company Apollo made a new offer for Braskem. Willing to pay R$50 per share, a proposal 25% above the previous one. The offer includes the company's delisting on B3 and subsequent reopening on the New York Stock Exchange.

2.                In view of the foregoing, we determine that you clarify whether the news is true, and, if so, explain the reasons why you believe it is not a relevant fact, as well as comment on other information considered important on the subject.”

In this regard, Braskem reinforces that it does not conduct any negotiations of Novonor and Petrobras (“Shareholders”) for the sale of the Company, for which reason it questioned its Shareholders on 10.11.2022 with the answers received by the Company been the subject of a notice to the market released on the same date.
