NOTICE TO THE MARKET

São Paulo, February 15, 2022 - Braskem S.A. ("Braskem" or "Company") (B3: BRKM3, BRKM5 and BRKM6; NYSE: BAK; LATIBEX: XBRK) hereby informs its shareholders and the market that it has entered into a purchase agreement for steam produced from biomass with Veolia Brasil, a French multinational company of energy, water and waste management for cities and industries. The agreement will ensure the supply of steam to Braskem for 20 years and is expected to begin in 2024.

With total investment of approximately R$400 million, considering the disbursements made by Braskem and Veolia, the project includes the construction by Veolia of an industrial and agroforestry park in the state of Alagoas and investments by Braskem to make operational adjustments at its industrial units in the region.

Braskem estimates that the supply agreement will reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by around 150 thousand tons per year, which corresponds to 30% of its emissions in Alagoas compared to 2020. The project is yet another important initiative that will help the Company to reduce its CO2 emissions by 15% by 2030 and to become carbon neutral by 2050.

For more information, contact Braskem’s Investor Relations Department by calling +55 (11) 3576-9531 or emailing braskem-ri@braskem.com.br.
