Item 5.02Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On February 11, 2022, Robert VanHimbergen notified Johnson Controls International plc (the “Company”) of his intention to resign as the Company’s Vice President, Corporate Controller and principal accounting officer to take an executive role outside of the Company. The effective date of Mr. VanHimbergen’s resignation is March 4, 2022. Mr. VanHimbergen’s resignation was not due to any disagreements with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies, or practices.
In connection with Mr. VanHimbergen’s resignation, Olivier Leonetti, the Company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will assume the role and responsibilities of principal accounting officer on an interim basis as of the effective date of Mr. VanHimbergen’s resignation. Mr. Leonetti’s biographical information is set forth in the Company’s Annual Report on Form 10-K filed on November 15, 2021, and such information is incorporated herein by reference.
