Gold Fields Limited (NYSE and JSE: GFI) announced profit attributable to owners of the parent for the year ended 31 December 2021 of US$789m (US$0.89 per share). This compared with profit of US$723m (US$0.82 per share) for the year ended 31 December 2020. A final dividend number 95 of 260 SA cents per share (gross) is payable on 14 March 2022, giving a total dividend for the year ended 31 December 2021 of 470 SA cents per share(gross). At 31 December 2021, all operations are wholly owned except for Tarkwa and Damang in Ghana (90.0%), South Deep in South Africa (96.43%), Cerro Corona in Peru (99.5%), Gruyere JV (50%) and Asanko JV (45% equity share). Gold produced and sold includes copper gold equivalents of approximately 6% of Group production. All-in-sustaining costs and total all-in cost in the key statistics table include all Gold Fields operations, projects and offices. Figures may not add as they are rounded independently. Final cash dividend In line with the Company's dividend policy, the Board has approved and declared a final dividend number 95 of 260 SA cents per ordinary share (gross) in respect of the year ended 31 December 2021. The final dividend will be subject to the Dividend Withholding Tax of 20 per cent. In accordance with paragraphs 11.17(a) (i) and 11.17(c) of the JSE Listings Requirements, the following additional information is disclosed: - The dividend has been declared out of income reserves; - The gross local dividend amount is 260 SA cents per ordinary share for shareholders exempt from dividends tax; - The Dividend Withholding Tax of 20 per cent (twenty per centum) will be applicable to this dividend; - The net local dividend amount is 208 SA cents per ordinary share for shareholders liable to pay the dividends tax; - Gold Fields currently has 887,717,348 ordinary shares in issue; and - Gold Fields' income tax number is 9160035607.
