APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN OF AUDIT AND RISK COMMITTEE
In terms of paragraph 3.59(c) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are advised that
the board of directors has appointed Ms Anneke Andrews as chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee
with effect from 7 June 2021. Anneke takes over the chairmanship from Ms Bongi Masinga, who has
stepped down as chairman of the committee. Bongi will continue to serve as an independent non-
executive director, a member of the audit and risk committee and Chairman of the social and ethics
committee.
Anneke is a Chartered Accountant who served as a partner and director for the last 19 of her 28 years
with Deloitte.
Her diverse experience base spans audit, risk and governance, finance, human capital, business
management and leadership. She has extensive experience in assisting management in achieving their
goals by mobilising the appropriate strategies and allocating the required resources. She has served
clients across a wide spectrum of industries including Financial Services, Consumer & Industrial
Products, Life Sciences and Healthcare, Public Sector, Technology, Media & Telecommunications,
Construction as well as Energy & Resources.
Anneke acted as Deloitte Lead Client Service Director for clients such as Harmony, Munich Re, AVI
and the European Investment Bank. Examples of other key clients she served include Barclays
Africa/Absa, Aveng, DBSA, Liberty, Telkom and Massmart.
The board looks forward to Anneke’s contributions as chairman of the audit and risk committee and
thanks Bongi for her role in this regard.
