TRADING STATEMENT

In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty exists
that the financial results for the period to be reported upon next, will differ by at least 20% from the
financial results for the previous corresponding period.

Metair is in the process of finalising its financial results for the year ended 31 December 2021
(“Results”) and shareholders are accordingly advised that Metair expects to report:

-   headline earnings per share of between 350 cents and 360 cents per share compared to headline
    earnings per share of 148 cents for the prior comparative period; and
-   earnings per share of between 345 cents and 355 cents per share compared to earnings per share
    of 91 cents for the prior comparative period.

The financial information, on which this trading statement is based, has not been reviewed or reported
on by Metair’s external auditors.

The Results are expected to be published on or about 17 March 2022.
