AUDIT FIRM AND AUDIT PARTNER ROTATION
Metair shareholders are hereby advised that the board of directors of the Company (“Board”) has
decided that the mandatory audit firm rotation rule issued by the Independent Regulatory Board for
Auditors be early adopted. The Board has endorsed the proposed appointment of Ernst & Young Inc.
(“EY”) as the new external auditor of the Company for the financial year commencing 1 January 2022,
with the designated audit partner being Mr D Venter.
The appointment of EY will be with effect from and subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming
annual general meeting of the Company, scheduled to be held on Thursday, 5 May 2022.
EY will replace PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. (“PwC”), who remains the Company’s external auditor for
the 2021 financial year.
The Board thanks PwC for its contribution over the years and looks forward to working with EY.
