CHANGES TO THE SOCIAL AND ETHICS COMMITTEE

In compliance with paragraph 3.59(c) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, Metair
shareholders are hereby advised that Mr R. Haffejee, the chief executive officer of the Company,
has been appointed as a member of the social and ethics committee, with immediate effect.
