NEDBANK GROUP LIMITED AND NEDBANK LIMITED – CHANGES TO THE BOARDS OF
DIRECTORS

In accordance with the Group’s ongoing board continuity planning, the boards of Nedbank Group and
Nedbank (‘the Boards’) are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Phumzile Langeni as an
independent non-executive director with effect from 22 March 2022. The appointment has been made
in terms of the Group’s policy on the nomination and appointment of directors.

Phumzile is a co-founder and executive chairman of Afropulse Group (Pty) Ltd, an unlisted investment
and corporate advisory house, and is also the chairman of Imperial Logistics Limited, Metrofile
Holdings Limited and Delta Property Fund. Phumzile has also been appointed as an independent
non-executive director of Woolworths Holdings Limited with effect from 1 April 2022.

In April 2018, Phumzile was appointed by the President of the Republic of South Africa as one of four
Special Investment Envoys tasked with raising USD100bn over a five-year period.

Mpho Makwana, Chairman of Nedbank Group, welcomed Ms Langeni to the Boards and said:
‘Phumzile has extensive commercial, financial services and mining and resources experience and we
look forward to her contribution on the Boards’.
