CHANGES TO THE EXECUTIVE FUNCTION OF A DIRECTOR: APPOINTMENT OF A
PERMANENT CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

York shareholders (“Shareholders”) are referred to the announcement published on SENS on
30 July 2021, wherein Shareholders were advised of, inter alia, the appointment of Mr Gerald
Stoltz, the Company’s chief financial officer (“CFO”), to act in a dual and secondary role as the
interim chief executive officer (“CEO”) of York.

In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, Shareholders are
hereby advised that Mr Stoltz has been appointed as the permanent CEO of the Company, with
effect from today, 1 July 2022.

Shareholders are further advised that Mr Stoltz will act in a dual and secondary role as the interim
CFO of York, until such time that a new CFO is appointed by the board of directors of York.

York has commenced with the process of identifying and appointing a new CFO and Shareholders
will be advised of the appointment of a new CFO in due course.
