The project was subject to the final investment decision at the time of this announcement. Murray & Roberts is proud to announce that the Clough Saipem joint venture has now been awarded the EPC contract for this project. The scope of work includes engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the 2.14 million tonnes per annum urea plant, including all urea storage and loadout facilities, a water treatment plant, a 100MW power plant, renewable power and seven kilometers of closed conveyor to the Pilbara port. The project is expected to commence during the third quarter of the 2022 calendar year. Clough’s share of the contract value is circa R22 billion, increasing the Group’s order book to an all-time high of circa R80 billion. Upon award, this multi-year project will complement the Group’s significant order book and extend its secured revenue base into the medium-to-long term.
