UPDATED TRADING STATEMENT
Shareholders are referred to the trading statement and trading update published on SENS on Thursday,
9 March 2023, wherein shareholders were advised that, inter alia, (i) the Company expects to report a
decrease of at least 105% for earnings per share (“EPS”) and a decrease of at least 104% for headline
earnings per share (“HEPS”) compared to the EPS and HEPS from the previous corresponding period;
and (ii) a further trading statement would be issued as soon as there is a reasonable degree of certainty
as to the likely ranges within which the Company’s EPS and HEPS are expected to decrease (“Further
Guidance”).
Accordingly, shareholders are hereby advised that Metair is now in a position to provide the Further
Guidance in that it now expects to report:
- loss per share of between 18 cents and 25 cents compared to EPS of 350 cents for the previous
corresponding period, being a decrease of between 105% and 107%; and
- headline loss per share of between 14 cents and 21 cents compared to HEPS of 354 cents for
the previous corresponding period, being a decrease of between 104% and 106%.
The financial results for the year ended 31 December 2022 are expected to be published on SENS on
or about Thursday, 30 March 2023.
