Gemfields has received notice that David Lovett, CFO, has transferred 1,400,000 ordinary shares
of USD0.00001 each in the Company (“Ordinary Shares”), to his spouse, Rosie Lovett, at no cost,
a direct to indirect beneficial transfer to an associate under the definition of the JSE.

Following the transfer, David Lovett’s interest in Ordinary Shares (including that of his persons
closely associated) remains unchanged, at 1,442,000 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.12 per cent of
the Company’s issued share capital.
