AMENDMENT TO DIRECTOR’S DECLARATION

In accordance with paragraph 3.60 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, Shoprite
Holdings advises that the Schedule 13 director’s declaration (“Director’s Declaration”)
for Ms Linda de Beer has been amended to state that a company of which she has been a
director in the past 12 months, being Tongaat Hulett Limited, has been placed into
business rescue. Ms de Beer retired from the Tongaat Hulett Limited board on 30
September 2022.

The amended Director’s Declaration has been submitted to the JSE.
