FURTHER TRADING STATEMENT IN RESPECT OF THE 52 WEEKS ENDED 25 JUNE 2023

Shareholders and noteholders are referred to the announcement released on the Stock Exchange News Service
(‘SENS’) on 22 August 2023, wherein the Group advised the earnings ranges for Earnings per share (‘EPS’),
Headline EPS (‘HEPS’) and adjusted diluted HEPS (‘adHEPS’) for the Total Group (which includes a 9-month
contribution from David Jones in the current year, versus a full 12-month contribution in the prior year).

The Group advises that subsequent to the release of the previous SENS, we have successfully concluded the
completion accounts process related to the sale of David Jones. Pursuant to this, the Group’s Total EPS is now
expected to be within the 35.0% to 45.0% range (previously 30%-40%). Guidance for HEPS and adHEPS remains
unchanged. The revised ranges for the total business are therefore expected to be as outlined below:

The guidance provided for EPS, HEPS and adHEPS for Continuing operations for the current year, as reported on
SENS on 28 July 2023, remains unchanged. The Group’s results for the year are scheduled to be released on SENS
tomorrow, 30 August 2023 at 07h05 (SAST).
