TIGER BRANDS LIMITED (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number 1944/017881/06) Share code: TBS ISIN: ZAE000071080 (“Tiger Brands” or “the Company”) APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR In compliance with paragraph 3.59(a) of the JSE Listings Requirements, shareholders are advised that, following the resignation of Ms. Deepa Sita effective 31 December 2023, the board of directors (the Board) approved the appointment of Mr Thushen Govender as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Director of Tiger Brands with effect from 1 January 2024. In his role as CFO, he will have oversight of finance, information technology, procurement as well as customer service and logistics functions. Mr Govender is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and registered member of SAICA with an MBA from Henley Management College. He has a track record within Tiger Brands and is a seasoned FMCG executive with leadership experience across various geographies. He re-joined Tiger Brands in 2021 from Aspen Holdings Limited, where he was Group Commercial Officer for international markets including Russia, USA and China. Prior to this, he played a pivotal role in developing the international strategy for Pioneer Foods, with direct responsibility for the global exports business as well as the UK and Africa Operations, having delivered growth in competitive markets such as North America, Asia, Africa and Europe. As Executive Chairman of the UK Business he spearheaded the organic and inorganic expansion strategy in Western Europe. Further to this, he served on the boards of Bokomo Botswana, Bokomo Namibia and Weetabix East Africa on behalf of Pioneer Foods. During his previous tenure at Tiger Brands, he was primarily responsible for the development and execution of Tiger Brands’ growth strategy at the time having held the executive position of group strategy, investor relations and business development.
