Operating profit (before items of a capital nature)* decreased from R37 million in the Prior Corresponding Period to an operating loss of R35 million. Headline earnings per share decreased from 14.1 cents in the Prior Corresponding Period to a headline loss per share of 17.4 cents. Earnings per share decreased from 12.0 cents in the Prior Corresponding Period to a loss per share of 17.8 cents. No final dividend has been declared for the year ended 30 September 2023 (30 September 2022: Nil). * Income or expenditure of a capital nature in the statement of comprehensive income, i.e. all profit or loss items that are excluded in the calculation of headline earnings per share. The principal items excluded under this measurement are profits or losses on disposal of property, plant and equipment, the profit on disposal of interest in associate and the impairment of goodwill.
