SUPER GROUP TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE 2022
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required to publish a trading
statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that the financial
results for the period to be reported on next will differ by 20% or more from the financial results of
the previous corresponding reporting period.
Considering that the South African economy has been severely curtailed by the Covid–19 Pandemic
and socio-political unrest, Super Group has delivered an excellent trading performance for the year
to June 2022. The Group’s financial position is robust and cash flow has been resilient in these
challenging circumstances.
This outstanding performance has been delivered despite the recent flooding and unrest in Kwa-Zulu
Natal and in the face of disruption as a result of the high levels of loadshedding being experienced in
South Africa. Most of the Group’s businesses have performed strongly in the year to June 2022.
Revenue growth has been good on the back of market share gains whilst the benefit of having right-
sized businesses and cut overheads has manifest in significant growth in operational and pre-taxation
profitability.
Super Group expects the following Headline Earnings per share “HEPS” and Earnings per share “EPS”
for the year to June 2022:

statement is based, has not been reviewed and reported on by Super Group’s external auditor.
The annual financial results of the Group for the year ended 30 June 2022, will be published on
www.supergroup.co.za at 07:00 CAT on Tuesday 30 August 2022, with the investor presentation
