NOTIFICATION IN TERMS OF SECTION 122(3) OF THE COMPANIES ACT AND SECTION
3.83(b) OF THE JSE LISTINGS REQUIREMENTS
In accordance with section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act 71 of 2008 (“the Act”) and section 3.83(b)
of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, holders of ordinary shares in the Company are advised
that Coronation Asset Management Proprietary Limited (“Coronation”), on behalf of its clients, has
acquired a beneficial interest in the ordinary shares of the Company, such that the total beneficial
interest in the ordinary shares held by Coronation of behalf of its clients now amounts to 5.02% of
the total number of Grindrod shares in issue.
The board of Grindrod accepts responsibility for the information contained in this announcement and
confirms that, to the best of their knowledge and belief, such information is true and this
announcement does not omit anything likely to affect the importance of such information included.
Grindrod hereby confirms that it has received the required notice from Coronation in terms of section
122(3)(a) of the Act and that it has filed the required notices with the Takeover Regulation Panel.
