ADvTECH Limited (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number 1990/001119/06) Share code: ADH ISIN: ZAE000031035 (“ADvTECH” or “the Company” or “the Group”) Appointment of Stewart Van Graan as Independent Non-Executive Director In accordance with paragraph 3.59 (a) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the board of directors of ADvTECH (“Board”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Stewart Van Graan (“Stewart”) as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 1 October 2022. Stewart has in excess of 35 years’ experience in the Information Communication and Technology (ICT) industry as well as cross-functional knowledge and business management expertise which he gained across expansive geographies and multi-cultural environments with a strict adherence to corporate governance and ethical leadership. Stewart’s experience includes holding positions such as Managing Director of Dell Computer Proprietary Limited in South Africa, General Manager of Dell Africa and vice president of Dell’s Enterprise Solutions business in the EMEA Emerging Markets. He also served as Chairman of Dell in South Africa. Prior to joining Dell in 2022, he spent 23 years at IBM in various positions both locally and internationally. He also served as an advisory board member of Stellenbosch University’s Business Schools and board member of Christel House South Africa, a non-profit school for disadvantaged children in South Africa. Stewart has served as a non-executive director at Altron since 2017. From July 2022 to September 2022, Stewart agreed to serve as Executive Chairperson and Interim CEO and will resume his role as Non-Executive Chairman of Altron from 1 October 2022. Stewart also served on the board of BankServAfrica between the period of October 2017 to May 2022 and is currently an independent non-executive director on the board of Old Mutual Limited. Stewart holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in Systems and Technology from the University of Cape Town and a Programme for Management Development (PMD) at the Graduate School of Business in Cape Town.
