FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 SEPTEMBER 2022 AND CASH
DIVIDEND DECLARATION

1. SALIENT FEATURES

Revenue decreased by 12% to R3,738 million from R4,263 million in the prior
corresponding period.

Headline earnings per share decreased by 25% to 366.3 cents per share, from 487.9
cents per share in the prior corresponding period.

Fund management earnings are used by management to measure operating financial
performance, which excludes the net impact of fair value gains and losses and related
foreign exchange movements on investment securities held for seeding products. Fund
management earnings per share decreased by 18% to 387.0 cents per share, from 470.9
cents per share in the prior corresponding period.

Gross total dividends per share decreased by 18% to 386 cents per share, from 470 cents
per share in the prior corresponding period.

2. DIVIDEND DECLARATION

The directors resolved to declare a final gross dividend of 172 cents (2021: 226 cents)
per share from income reserves in respect of the year ended 30 September 2022. The
dividend amount, net of South African dividend tax of 20%, is 137.6 cents (2021: 180.8
cents) per share for those shareholders who are not exempt from dividend tax. The
number of ordinary shares in issue at the declaration date is 349 799 102 and the income
tax number of the Company is 9 675 107 719.

The salient dates of the dividend declaration are:

Last day to trade cum dividend Tuesday, 6 December 2022
Trading ex-dividend commences Wednesday, 7 December 2022
Record date Friday, 9 December 2022
Payment date Monday, 12 December 2022

Share certificates may not be dematerialised or rematerialised between Wednesday,
7 December 2022 and Friday, 9 December 2022, both days inclusive.
