RCL Foods Limited (JSE:RCL) News - Trading statement – six months ended December 2021 RCL FOODS LIMITED (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number: 1966/004972/06) ISIN: ZAE000179438 Share Code: RCL (“RCL FOODS" or “the Group”) TRADING STATEMENT – SIX MONTHS ENDED DECEMBER 2021 In accordance with the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are advised that RCL FOODS expects its headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) for the six month period ended December 2021 (“current period”) to be between 69.0 cents (+15.6%) and 76.0 cents (+27.3%) when compared to the reported HEPS of 59.7 cents for the six month period ended December 2020 (“comparative period”). Earnings per share (“EPS”) for the current period is expected to be between 70.0 cents (+13.6%) and 77.0 cents (+25.0%) when compared to the reported EPS of 61.6 cents for the comparative period. The expected improvement over the comparative period is due to pleasing performances from all divisions and is also a function of the base effect of the higher direct costs associated with COVID-19 in the comparative period. The Group’s financial results for the current period are expected to be released on SENS on 28 February 2022.
