RCL FOODS reported that its headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) for the year ended June 2021 (“current period”) would be at least 90.0 cents (+592.3%) when compared to the reported HEPS of 13.0 cents for the year ended June 2020 (“comparative period”); that its earnings per share (“EPS”) for the current period will be at least 90.0 cents (+187.4%) when compared to the reported EPS of negative 103.0 cents for the comparative period; and that a further trading statement would be published as soon as the Group had reasonable certainty on the expected HEPS and EPS ranges for the current period. Shareholders are advised that RCL FOODS expects its HEPS for the current period to be between 106.8 cents (+721.5%) and 109.2 cents (+740.0%) when compared to the reported HEPS of 13.0 cents for the comparative period. EPS for the current period is expected to be between 108.4 (+205.2%) cents and 117.4 (+214.0%) cents when compared to the reported EPS of negative 103.0 cents for the comparative period. The strong improvement over the comparative period is largely driven by an excellent performance in the Sugar and Baking business units and continued strong delivery in Grocery. Chicken continues to focus on its turnaround plan, which is expected to deliver benefits in the next financial year. The Group’s financial results for the current period are expected to be released on SENS on 6 September 2021.
