NOTIFICATION OF CHANGE IN EXTERNAL AUDITOR
Ernst & young (“EY”) has over recent years served as the Company’s external auditor. However,
following the disposal by GPI of its shareholding in Burger King South Africa and Grand Food
Meat Plant, the majority of GPI’s statement of comprehensive income will in future be opined on
by a different firm and not by EY. Accordingly, in terms of EY’s standard internal policies and
procedures, EY is no longer able to continue as auditors of the Company.
Accordingly, the Company’s audit and risk committee has recommended, and the board of
directors of the Company have resolved, to appoint Deloitte & Touche as the external auditor of
GPI, with Carmeni Naidoo Bester as the designated audit partner, with effect from 11 May 2022.
